For the sense of games that are already treated as a live service such as Fortnite, developer Epic Games already goes beyond what is necessary to compensate the amount of content dumped into the popular battle royale. With constant fueling of cosmetic items, limited time items, and battle passes, the firm receives well more than the game is to keep the lights on for being a free client.
But now, Epic Games is introducing a new service available for the devoted Fortnite user base: Fortnite Crew. Unlike the already spoken of battle pass system for the game which opens new cosmetic opportunities to users in-game, this new subscription is separate to that business model introducing players to a separate line of digital goodies for those that pay their monthly admission.
Arriving on December 2nd, Galaxia will be the first wave of content for Fortnite Crew providing 1,000 V-Bucks, titular outfit & Style, Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe, and Fractured World Back Bling. The subscription will run fo #11.99 a month. One perk noted is that players will also receive the latest battle pass if subscribed to Fortnite Crew.
With a Fortnite Crew subscription, you’ll always have access to the current Season’s Battle Pass. You may be asking: “What if I subscribe after already owning the Battle Pass?” Don’t worry: if you already have the current Battle Pass, 950 V-Bucks will be returned to your account! You may also be asking: “Do I still keep the Battle Pass if my subscription ends?” Don’t worry again: a Season’s Battle Pass stays yours even if your subscription ends during that Season.

Elsewhere on PlayStation Blog, Epic Games spares that Fortnite Crew will be a variable when it comes to offered cosmetics. While this month is said to offer a specialized Pickaxe, that can also vary upon each month. In that, either a Emote, Glider, or Pickaxe for example will come that will complement the outfit for that month period.
In relevance to Fortnite, Epic Games laid out the advantages of the title on the next-generation Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5. You can read the full report by heading here.
