After the reintroduction of Telltale Games just short a handful of years ago, much of the chatter surrounds the long-anticipated return for The Wolf Among Us sequel. Originally, the game was reported to be a new installment disconnected from the first game prior to the developer’s demise in 2018. But following the official announcement, that was not the case anymore.
Since then, the waiting game remains heavy for fans with a promise 2023 release window. It was not until this past spring where Telltale Games confirmed The Wolf Among Us 2 launch is aimed after 2023 in a new delay. Amidst development for the Fables-adapted follow-up, Telltale Games is also working with Deck Nine Games on a new project for The Expanse as well.
From Telltale Games, it is confirmed that The Expanse: A Telltale Series will launch is first episode ‘Archer’s Paradox’ later in July. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Players take on the role of Camina Drummer (played by actress Cara Gee in both the game and TV series), the XO of a scavenger crew on the hunt for a mysterious treasure on the edges of The Belt. As Drummer, you must deal with a mix of powerful personalities, square off against a bloody mutiny, explore locations beyond The Belt, and make tough decisions that will decide the fate of The Artemis crew,” Telltale shares for a synopsis on the game.
“Scour shipwrecks, use mag boots to walk on walls and ceilings, and utilize Zero-G thrusters to float through sections of ships and the open expanse of space in the largest and most immersive exploration of any Telltale game to date.” On the official website for The Expanse, Telltale Games goes on to confirm that each episode after the first will release subsequently every two weeks.
