As for the upcoming forecast for Apex Legends according to developer Respawn Entertainment, there is expected rainfall for Steam and Nintendo Switch versions to take place sometime this fall. Back in June of this year, the studio unveiled that the two ports will arrive around the same time as cross-platform play.

Evidently, cross-play has already been subjected to all users across its platforms this month thanks to the Aftermarket Collection Event recently. However, more looks to be underway thanks to a new discovery. Over on the Electronic Software Rating Board (ESRB), Apex Legends has been rated for Nintendo Switch.

Here is the full description provided by the finding on the official website:

This is a first-person shooter in which players engage in squad-based battle royale-style combat across a large island. Players search for supplies and use machine guns, rifles, and explosives to shoot and kill enemies as the play area constantly shrinks. Frenetic firefights are accompanied by blood-splatter effects, realistic gunfire, and large explosions.

Players can also perform various finishing moves on weakened enemies (e.g., stabbing them with a knife; beating opponents down with fists; electrocuting characters). These attacks are often depicted close-up and/or from the victim’s perspective.

While this surely is a sign for the Nintendo Switch version to be on the horizon for an announcement, this does leave room to also suggest that the Steam version is arriving fairly soon also. Since the version was first discovered by dataminers back in May, there has been little detail suggesting when exactly game will arrive to the platform. Reflecting on the Tuesday announced Apex Legends: Champion Edition, there is a off chance of potentially arriving just in time for Season 7.

For more future tense regarding Apex Legends, the battle royale is expected to hit mobile sometime soon. At least, that is in China. Electronic Arts disclosed the details earlier in 2020 and tells the global release will hit devices by 2021 roughly. You can read the full report by heading here.
