Announced by ESRB that they will labeling physical copies of games that includes any in-game purchases with real time currency. That including loot boxes, season passes and/or DLC.
Along with this announcement, they set up a website for parents to inform them on in-game purchases and to teach them how to use the parent controls to keep their children from purchasing any of the sorts without their permission.
Resulting from the recent backlash that loot crates have got creating debates on if this falls under the same as online gambling from making in-game purchases. As this idea sounds good on paper to pick out games that obtain these features, game’s that simply fall under this category for only having downloadable content is pretty harsh to give the title this status.
