Fable Legends and Project Knoxville development has been cancelled.

UPDATE 2: Fable Legends is now officially offline. Lionhead Studios says  thanks to their fans and have posted a link about getting your refund back. Keep up to date with it as they will update it in the future.

UPDATE: Fable Legends will remain online until April 13th, 2016. Players who already have access to the closed beta will be able to continue playing the game until this time. If you have purchased it you will get a refund.

We will be providing all players who purchased gold a full refund. Players who are eligible for a refund will be provided further information by email within the next 7 days.

BREAKING: Xbox Wire has reported that they have changes coming to Lionhead Studios and they could be going in to closure. Not only is Fable Legends being effected, Project Knoxville will also not be finished.

“After much consideration we have decided to cease development on Fable Legends, and are in discussions with employees about the proposed closure of Lionhead Studios in the UK. Additionally, we will close Press Play Studios in Denmark, and sunset development on Project Knoxville.”
“Xbox will continue to support new IP and originality in the games we offer on our platforms, whether they’re AAA blockbusters likeQuantum Break from Remedy, adventurous new IPs like Sea of Thieves from Rare, or unique new creations from independent developers like Moon Studios with Ori.”

This is very shocking news to hear not just for Fable Legends but for Project Knoxville, this was a game that the fans voted for. I’m not very shocked with the Fable Legends news because ever since E3 2015 we or I myself haven’t seen much of anything besides the beta about this game. Maybe they had money problems? We don’t know the full details.  More importantly with Lionhead studios and Press Play closing more jobs have been lost.
