Although in one medium, Lego continues to find new windows for its cheerful, blocky nature to bridge over to video games. The most popular currently being the recent arrival of Lego Fortnite in December. Now, users can explore an open landscape ready to be paved with Lego bricks and their own creativity. Even more, new Lego sets continue to come through official collaborations.
In a recent development from Lego & Nintendo, it was teased a new line of Animal Crossing sets and minifigures are on the way. So far, a date has yet to be shared when to anticipate the new line of sets. Additionally, vocal fans via Lego Ideas do petition Lego sets for other beloved titles as well. Amid the initial hype for Untitled Goose Game, the House House title did see a submission on the Lego Ideas forum, but was not approved.
Now in a similar fashion, The Secret of Monkey Island is now the newest example of eager fans attempting to realize their beloved video game. After the launch of Return to Monkey Island in 2022 and the IP celebrating 35 years in 2024, it makes sense for fans to find ways to commemorate the series in some form.
