One of the pros of the next-generation- er- current-generation consoles now is the improved experience from the native hardware. In terms of Ubisoft titles, the firm already delivered on this promise at the time of release for select titles including Watch Dogs Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Rainbow Six Siege, and For Honor to name a few. This list continues to grow as time progressed for its titles.
As the months stacked, Ubisoft did not forget some of its most popular releases from the prior Xbox & PlayStation. In that time, games such as Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, The Crew 2, and even Ghost Recon Breakpoint welcomed respected enhancements for the new systems. Namely featuring improved resolution upgrades and topping off performance at 60Hz.
Well, the firm did it once again this week. In a new announcement on Thursday, Ubisoft & Ubisoft Montreal confirms a new 60Hz update for Far Cry 5 is out now for the 2018 title. The update comes at an even better time now celebrating the fifth anniversary since the release of Far Cry 5.
“Take down Joseph Seed and his Heralds at twice the framerate as you explore the different regions in Hope County and liberate its citizens. The 60 FPS patch applies to all of Far Cry 5’s game modes, as well as its three DLCs, Hours of Darkness, Lost on Mars, and Dead Living Zombies, making now the perfect time to dive into the backstories of Wendell Redler, Nick Rye, and Guy Marvel, respectively.”
Ubisoft Writer/Editor Brittany Spurlin adds, “In addition to a smoother visual experience, Xbox Series X|S players will receive enhanced resolution for Far Cry 5. Xbox Series X will be able to run the game with a 3840×2160 and 4K resolution, while Xbox Series S will run it at a 1920×1080. PS5 players will still be able to take out the Seed family at 2880×1620 resolution.”
