Far Cry 6 Stranger Things Crossover and Free Weekend Announced

Ubisoft has announced that The Vanishing, the Stranger Things crossover mission for Far Cry 6, will be available this weekend beginning March 24th. This time around, players will need to search for one of their in game companions, Chorizo, as he’s been kidnapped along with a number of Yaran people.

The Vanishing will bring a stealth-horror-survival gameplay experience to Far Cry players for the first time with mysterious characters and new lore. In The Vanishing, players will enter a twisted version of Yara inspired by the Upside-Down, where Dani discovers that Yarans are disappearing and no one is safe – not even Chorizo. Players will be able to explore Stranger Things-inspired locations, such as a hidden bunker and an abandoned laboratory. Dani’s mission – with new skins for a flamethrower and shotgun – is to search for Chorizo and find out what happened to the abducted Yarans.

There is also a big sale during the free weekend and for a few days after for those who decide to purchase the game. Xbox users can get 50% off the game and 35% off the DLC through March 28. PlayStation and Ubisoft users have the same deal through the 30th.
