Fans of Final Fantasy 16 will be delighted by the arrival of two new DLC chapters. The first chapter is titled Echoes of the Fallen which is being released shortly after The Game Awards. Following the first chapter is The Rising Tides, which arrives in Spring 2024. Both are paid DLCs but you can purchase the expansion pass to jump right into the action.

Both DLCs take place before the final mission, allowing you to get right into the action if you made it that far. Echoes of the Fallen increases the level cap, provides a new story, and introduces several new enemies. You can also obtain Cloud’s iconic Buster Sword as a weapon for Clive. The new story has you investigate the Sagespire, which is apparently the source of dark crystals appearing on the black market.

The Rising Tide will introduce the Eikon Leviathan, which crosses Clive’s path along with several new challenges. In a change from the dying environments of Valisthea, The Rising Tide takes place in a luscious landscape filled with nature.

Due to its nominations and awards at The Game Awards, Final Fantasy 16 will be discounted on the PlayStation Store. Now is a great time to pick up the game and the expansion pass if you haven’t already done so.
