Today, Square Enix and Microsoft announced that fan favorite MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV Online is finally coming to Xbox Series XlS. This comes from the Final Fantasy XIV FanFest where Phil Spencer made a surprise appearance during the opening keynote. He was joined buy Final Fantasy XIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida and Square Enix CEO Takashi Kiryu,

The Xbox version of Final Fantasy XIV will be available for both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. It will be 4K-ready with faster load times and supports cross-play so Xbox fans can experience Final Fantasy XIV with veteran and new players across all platforms.

Final Fantasy XIV Online is ready to launch in open beta on Xbox Series XlS as part of the Patch 6.5x series, meaning we can expect it very soon. The Expanded Free Trial will also be making its way to Xbox Series XlS.

Final Fantasy XIV Online will arrive to Xbox in Spring 2024.
