Blumhouse and Universal announced that Freddy Fazbear will return to haunt theaters on December 5, 2025. Last month, it was announced that Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 will come to theaters in Fall 2025. Initially, it was assumed that it would be another October release, but instead, it will premiere just in time for Christmas.
Five Nights At Freddy’s was a big hit in 2023 generation $297 million globally and became Blumhouse’s highest-grossing film. It was the highest-grossing horror film of 2023 on top of that.
Who Will Be In Five Nights At Freddy’s 2?
Blumhouse hasn’t confirmed who will be returning for the sequel, but it looks like Emma Tammi will return as director and Josh Hutcherson who played Mike Schmidt is most likely coming back. As for the animatronics, Jason Blum shared an image that looked to have teased Mangle and Toy Bonnie making an appearance in Five Nights At Freddy’s 2. It would be consistent with the game series since those two characters appeared in the second game.
In response to criticism for not being scary enough, Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 will now have a heightened focus on horror.
