Sports Interactive announced after a discussion with SEGA that they will be canceling Football Manager 25. The studio will now be focusing on its next release. 

Football Manager 25 was planned to be released in March 2025 across PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. 

“We know this will come as a huge disappointment, especially given that the release date has already moved twice, and you have been eagerly anticipating the first gameplay reveal. We can only apologise for the time it has taken to communicate this decision,” said Sports Interactive.

The developer also mentions their full focus is now on creating a new era for Football Manager. It was also mentioned the state of the newest entry in the series was not in a great spot. They mention it could have been released in its current state, but it wouldn’t be right for the fans looking forward to playing FM25. 

It looks like the Football Manager series will still continue it’s just that we won’t get one for at least over a year.
