Undead Labs is still considered one of the newly acquired studios by Microsoft and we have been waiting on news for State of Decay 3 which was revealed to be in development. While it has been quiet on updates on their new project, we can see who they’ve hired to help with development, and Undead Labs recently brought on a Call of Duty veteran.
John Connor Dvorsky, a former Senior Software Engineer at Raven Software working on Call of Duty has joined Undead Labs as a Senior Software Engineer II. You can see his LinkedIn profile here. It is interesting to see someone who has worked on a popular shooter joining a game that’s all about killing zombies when it comes to the State of Decay series.
It’s a positive sign to see Undead Labs bringing on more talented individuals to eventually finish State of Decay 3. This July will make it 4 years since we saw the teaser trailer for the next State of Decay game and hopefully, we see an update sometime this year.
In 2022 it was revealed that Undead Labs collaborated with The Coalition on Unreal Engine 5 for State of Decay 3.
