Epic Games has been busy with Fortnite news over the last week with Fortnite OG making its return as of December 6 and Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 making its debut on December 1st. Today, it was announced that Fortnite is receiving a new tactical 5v5 FPS mode that will be arriving in early access on December 11, 2024.
Fortnite Ballistic is similar to Valorant, CS: GO, or even Search and Destroy in Call of Duty. It is going to launch with a Ranked + Unranked playlist that will require tactical teamwork, strategy, and more. Ballistic is a round-based 5v5 competitive mode that will be available in Fortnite.
What Map Will Fortnite Ballistic Have?
Fortnite Ballistic will launch with Skyline 10, along with a starting set of weapons and some items. Epic Games will improve the mode based on player feedback and add new maps, weapons, and more in the future. It’s also worth noting that this is a no-build mode, so players won’t have to worry about another element of this mode.
Players will begin with a Ranger Pistol and 800 Credits. Credits can be earned from scoring eliminations and planting the Rift Point Device. The device will detonate 45 seconds after being planted. If a team successfully defends it, players should run away; if the Rift Point Device knocks you out, you will lose all your gear.
