This Sunday became a real phenomenon in the history of gaming as Epic Games decided to pull the plug on their most successful game, Fortnite. Unsure what exactly happened, players who have attempted to log on to play a few rounds on the expansive multiplayer experience were met with an error which kept them from riding the battle bus.
The team also purged the game’s official Twitter page of all previous tweet, and blacked out both the cover & avatar photos for the account as well. However, there is one mysterious tweet reading “…” with a livestream of what looks to be a black hole, potentially teasing to what the future holds for the game.

Despite the complete black out for the game, users who have been paying attention to the finer details in the Fortnite community should already be aware about of the previously leaked Fortnite Chapter 2. This spawning from the mobile version on the Italian iOS storefront discloses what comes next for the battle royale. Things such as boats, new defaults, and a fresh map for players to drop on.
Now that first leak looks to have developed into being legitimate as now the trailer for Chapter 2’s battle pass has leaked as well by Twitter user @SkinTrackerCom: now confirming what has already been shared through the image on top of providing more info on the enigmatic next step for the title. Supporting the claim for not only a new map, but also controllable boats can be seen from the short glimpse that is the trailer.
Other minor details presented is the ability to fish which players can perform in game and even unlock XP from when successfully hooking some cod. New iterations of player progression will also be added seen through the medal system that users can be awarded through standard activities like collecting wood and taking down players.
As for when this new season could be officially coming to Fortnite is the hard part, as no initiative provided from Epic Games has been shown since the game’s abrupt black out yesterday. What are your thoughts on the sudden decision from the developer?
Fortnite is out now for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.
