For the lengths that Fortnite has gone to deliver a better experience for its users, it’s surprising how much further Epic Games continues to go years later. Previously, the firm found workarounds to better the performance on Nintendo Switch. The system is very lacking compared to the competition, but managed to improve the refresh rate for users on the platform.

Additionally, Fortnite was met with a similar fate on PC. Specifically for users with lower tier builds which enables better performance despite the lacking components to deliver a smoother frames per second. The company even elaborated on the core storage size which removed roughly 60 GB the game took up back in 2020.

In a new layout for the coming Chapter 3 Season 4 blog post, it reveals that there will be a new warning for users that play with competitive advantage accessories. This includes products like Strike Packs which enable better recoil control and improved shooting.

Starting this Season, players who use restricted devices that provide, or are intended to provide, a competitive advantage may receive an in-game warning. To continue playing, players must remove the hardware and restart Fortnite. Attempts to bypass this restriction will result in a permanent ban from Fortnite. Restricted devices include but are not limited to Cronus Zen and Cronus Max.

“The use of hardware that provides, or is intended to provide, a competitive advantage is not allowed. When detected, players will receive an in-game warning. Players must remove the attached hardware device and restart Fortnite to continue playing,” Epic Games writes on the matter on its support page for the new warning.

This new effort has been praised by many online and gives hope that the same will be put into effect by other major publishers. For titles like Apex Legends, PUBG Battlegrounds, and Call of Duty Warzone, this would certainly be appreciated to restrict users from essentially cheating without no repercussions of the sort.
