Alike with many things, it only takes one push for a certain action to become a trend or pattern later down the road. For the sake of Fortnite, Epic Games’ most popular battle royale, there is no exception. For those that might recall, the title back in December welcomed both Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Kratos of God of War alongside Spartan-117 A.K.A. Master Chief from Microsoft’s Halo franchise.
So with the two franchises – of two properties that could never be on the same system – is now sharing the screen via Fortnite. And with that, the momentum is to proceed with other namely franchises to take the spotlight as well down the road. In this instance, fans can look over towards Capcom’s Street Fighter.
In a new trailer uploaded on Friday, Epic Games unveils that Ryu & Chun-Li will both now be in the battle royale as well. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:
Noted, the two iconic fighters from the decades-spanning series are set to arrive later on Saturday February 20, 2021. Specifically, the game can expect the duo at 7 PM EST / 4 PM PST.
In other relevant news to Fortnite, Epic Games issued a a new client install for the battle royale in mid December which brings the experience to 120 frames per second on the latest Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5. Additionally, there is a new feature which allows low-tier PCs to achieve higher framerates as well in the update. You can read the full report by heading here.
