A while back, we reported that Microsoft and Xbox were partnering with Change Racing for the 2017 championship series. During Friday’s Forza Friday stream on Beam and Twitch, Forza community manager Brian Ekburg mentioned that drivers in Forza would be getting that special Lamborghini that was mentioned briefly when Microsoft’s latest partnership was announced. The Change Racing team will be driving a Lamborghini GT3 with their sponsor livery laid over it. Sadly, players won’t be receiving this exact car, but a track-focused Lamborghini is still headed to Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 3.
The car to check for is the Lamborghini #63 Squadra Corse Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo. The car comes wrapped in Change Racing’s livery, featuring Forza Motorsport and Xbox sponsor marks. Drivers in Horizon 3 will need to own the Forza Horizon 3 Motorsport All-Stars Car Pack to be eligible to receive the car, as the #63 Squadra Corse is normally part of that car pack. The car comes with a stock tune, so players can customize it and make it their own. Ekburg mentioned the stipulation for Horizon 3 players regarding the car pack, so if it doesn’t show up as a gift in-game and you want to pick it up, be sure to also pick up the car pack. Players who own the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition will be able to immediately access the car, however owners of the Standard Edition will have to pick up the All-Stars Car Pack which isn’t part of the Car Pass, so it’ll be its own purchase if players want to step into this specially designed Lamborghini to blaze across the Australian Outback.
