NetEase Games and Bad Guitar Studio first revealed FragPunk during the Xbox Games Showcase in June of this year. It’s a 5v5 hero shooter that allows players to bend the game’s rules through the power of Shard Cards. These unique cards let you change everything and anything about the match.

Players will have their Lancer hero powers and a wide selection of weapons to call on, ensuring no two FragPunk battles are alike.

FragPunk received a new trailer at The Game Awards with an official release date. It will come to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.

During the release date announcement, it was also revealed that all Shard Cards in the game will be free to unlock forever. Players will not need to spend money to unlock any of the Shard Cards, which are one of the key features in FragPunk.

Bad Guitar Studio also revealed that during FragPunk’s closed beta from October 10 to October 12, it attracted over 1 million players and was ranked first in the “Trending Upcoming” section of free games on Steam.
