We are in the year of new consoles and one of those is the Project Scorpio, an upgraded Xbox One that Microsoft claims will be the most powerful console in the world. Frank O’Connor, Franchise Development Director at 343 industries has spoken about Xbox Scorpio on NeoGAF, but he didn’t really reveal anything but just tease.
Here is his reply to the question on NeoGAF:
Haha, although I probably “know” in that I might have seen it in a slide or something, it’s literally not something I have time to think about now and I actually couldn’t remember whatever specs I’ve been exposed to even if I was tortured. I literally couldn’t leak or answer a question that went beyond “Can I do this? Does it support that? How many of these could it render?”
What I do remember is that it’s beefier than I expected.
It looks like Project Scorpio will be a bit big and it could be bigger than the original Xbox One due to the power it has to offer. A perfect example is how big the PS4 Pro is compared to the original PlayStation 4. I’m not suggesting that’s what Scorpio will be, but size wise it could be bigger than the original Xbox One.
Stay tuned for more info.
