Future Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Plans Are Cancelled, According To Leaker

Since its launch in 2023, Mortal Kombat 1 has not been the greatest success for Warner Bros. Games. It did not experience the greatest sales, and its Khaos Reigns DLC sold poorly, according to a reliable leaker on Reddit.

The leaker, FateUnknown, has claimed that a Kombat Pack 3 and second story expansion will no longer happen. They claim that after Kombat Pack 2 there will be no more characters added to the game. A Kameo or two might make it, but that still is an unknown.

Ghostface has just joined Mortal Kombat 1 as the latest DLC fighter, and it’s now available to all players. In January 2024, it was reported the latest Mortal Kombat title sold 3 million units and as of September 2024, it has reached 4 million copies sold.

We should always approach reports like these cautiously, as Warner Bros. or NetherRealm have yet to issue a statement.
