Well, it took longer than expected but Telltale has finally commented on the save bug that has been plaguing Episode 2 of Game of Thrones The Lost Lords. Many players, including our own game here, have been experiencing one of two main issues in the game. Either players’ choices were not carrying over from Episode 1 to Episode 2 or Episode 2 could not be completed. At the end of the funeral scene of episode 2 the preview of episode 3 would play but then freeze to a semi black screen where the credits and choices wouldn’t show as they should. This would prevent Episode 2 from showing up as completed and inhibiting progress to the third episode when it’s released next month.

Telltale has commented on their official forums today that a patch has been submitted to fix both issues. It is currently in Microsoft’s hands for testing and should be released within the next 7-10 days. Their official statement is

“We have submitted a patch to Microsoft to resolve the issue some customers have experienced where Episode One choices did not carry over into Episode Two. We expect the patch to be released in the next 7-10 days and will update this thread as soon as it is available. We really appreciate everyone’s patience and hope to have you playing with your choices very soon.”

Like we said in our initial review of Episode 2 as well as our followup, Telltale had to address this issue as it was preventing players from 67% of the Game of Thrones series. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as it’s released.
