Gamescom will be getting its own live announcement show this year

In the past we saw companies like Microsoft host conferences at Gamescom with new game announcements for Xbox. This year it looks like the event that many call “the E3 of Europe” will have its own live announcement show hosted by Geoff Keighley.

The show, Gamescom: Opening Night Live will take place on August 19th at 11:00 Pacific and 2:00 Eastern. During this conference we could expect some surprises from any of the three major companies in Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft. It’s hard to say if we’ll see any next-gen console related stuff, but for sure new game announcements from indies to your AAA titles. We still don’t know if Microsoft will hold anything of their own during the event yet.

Recently, Microsoft announced their plans for E3 2019 which will take place on June 9th.
