Last year in October, users online stumbled upon a ESRB rating for Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour for Nintendo Switch. According to the listing on the Electronic Software Rating Board website, the game only offered a brief synopsis of the game alongside listing the title with an M rating (17+). The title was already available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, so it was inevitable Switch owners would receive a version as well.
Now this week, developer Gearbox Software uploaded an announcement trailer which unveils that Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour will officially be arriving to the Nintendo Switch next week, Tuesday to be exact. You can view the trailer in full in the video below:
On the Nintendo eShop page for the game, Gearbox Software reveals that Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour will be included with HD Rumble, gyro controls, and motion controlling compatibility unique to the Nintendo Switch. Online support for story co-op and matchmaking will also be available for the game when it launches next week.
“Frag like it’s 1996 – this time with even more asses to kick! Join the world’s greatest action hero in Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour as he saves Earth once again, saving babes across the globe,” the synapse for the game reads on the eShop. “Blast your way through hordes of ugly aliens in four classic Duke Nukem 3D episodes.
“An all-new fifth episode from the game’s original episode designers includes a new weapon, new music from the game’s original composer, and all-new lines from the original voice of Duke.” Even more, the Incinerator weapon will be added as well which is not available on other versions.
