This week, many fans felt it was very generous for The Coalition to spare some of the enhancements only available for Gears 5 on Xbox Series X. While it is already expected for the game to exceed 60 frames per second for 120 frames per second on new hardware alongside 4K resolution, the firm goes even further. The team tells that input latency will be reduced by nearly 60 percent across online versus and over 30 percent for single player.
But now in a new feature from IGN, the studio spares more information on the coming additions to Gears 5 on the horizon of the next-generation for Xbox. While reiterating on the benefits already mentioned for Gears 5, one bomb dropped, literally, is that Dave Bautista will be playable as a reskin for Marcus Fenix in the campaign for the first time.
You can view that and other highlights in the trailer below:
More over in the new piece from the outlet, The Coalition lists that New Game+ will be introduced to Gears of War with the new version on Xbox Series X|S. Not only that, but Ironman and Inconceivable will both be making a return for the hardened Gears veterans to face when looking for a challenge for the game’s single player.
As for content that makes up the game’s multiplayer matchmaking, The Coalition tells that Operation 5 will include changes which gives users more variety and customization than ever before. “When we first launched the game, certain characters were tied to certain classes, which was a really cool system for us and there were a lot of people that really liked that system,” Alex Grimbley, Gears 5 Executive Producer explains.
“But if we thought about how we want to kind of move forward, just giving players more choice was one of our key things. Giving the players the choice to choose which class they want to apply to which character is I think really powerful.” This will add more variance to how Gears 5 can be approached beyond the latest Operation 4 which reworked the entire formula for the game.
