Microsoft and The Coalition announced that Gears of War: Reloaded will release on August 26, 2025, for Xbox Series, Xbox PC, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The original Gears of War is returning, featuring 4K resolution, 120 FPS support, and the ultimate multiplayer experience with cross-progression and cross-play.
Gears of War: Reloaded is bringing the full experience forward once again, and now it’s enhanced for the latest hardware across multiple platforms. This will be the first time PlayStation 5 owners will be able to try out the first Gears of War title.
Reloaded includes all of the content from Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, launching the most complete version of the original game to date. Players will also get access to all post-launch DLC at no additional cost including the bonus Campaign act, all multiplayer maps and modes, and a full roster of classic characters and cosmetics unlockable through progression.

Gears of War: Reloaded will cost $39.99 on all platforms and it will be available on Xbox and PC Game Pass on day one. It will be half the price of what other first-party Xbox games will cost this Holiday. Microsoft announced future games will cost $80.
