Over at developer One More Level, the team responsible for 2020’s Ghostrunner continues to remain busy with the IP since the initial launch of the game. Already, the game held a steady amount of anticipation since the original inception of the project earlier at Gamescom ahead of the novel coronavirus, but success of the release later led to the franchise being acquired by 505 Games.
Later on, the same publisher went on to disclose plans for Ghostrunner which included a full-on sequel now entering production. While it will be sometime until the follow-up ships, a roadmap for the game was also revealed around the same time. That included additional content, photo mode, and next-gen versions for Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 respectively.
Recently, One More Level & 505 Games shared that a new add-on dubbed ‘Project_Hel’ is set to release this month later in January. You can watch the teaser trailer in the video below:
“Initially planned as a smaller DLC, Project_Hel has grown into a full-blown Ghostrunner experience. Take control of Hel, one of the original games’ bosses, as she descends Dharma Tower on a bloody quest of her own. Designed to appeal to new players and veterans, she’s more combat-oriented and can survive an additional attack compared to the Ghostrunner.”
The description continues, “Run on walls, soar through neon cityscapes, and slice through six levels while mastering Hel’s powers through her own ability progression system. Battle new enemies and bosses to the beat of six fresh tracks courtesy of electronic musician Daniel Deluxe.”
