This time last year publisher Bethesda during its titular E3 Showcase unveiled Tango Gameworks GhostWire: Tokyo. The enigmatic trailer despite not sharing much context did grab excitement for fans anticipating the next-generation lineup at the time. Well, now a year later the Japanese developer has returned with a new trailer featuring in-game rendered gameplay and it is something to be excited for.

Taking the vibrant and glowing city of Japan’s capital, Tokyo has been cleared out as grim forces have inhabited the tight streets and social squares that are spread throughout. With this, Tango Gameworks litters familiar-looking foes that have been consumed by this new nuance of evil energy and the player must cleanse this problem before it is irreversible.

You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“This version of Tokyo is not a version you’ve ever seen or heard before. In Ghostwire: Tokyo, you’ll hear and encounter sounds that you normally would not hear in the city in real life,” Game Director Kinji Kimura shares on the title.” Our hope is that with the 3D sound, you will feel compelled to seek out and identify what is causing those sounds you hear.”

Additionally with the game being showcased at the recent PlayStation 5 event Sony hosted, the firm shares that GhostWire: Tokyo will launch exclusively to PlayStation 5, first. After that, the game will arrive to Xbox Series X as well, but the timeframe has yet to be disclosed. PC users can expected the game the same time as their PlayStation counterparts.
