Goat Simulator Remastered Coming This Year To Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC

The phenomenon that is Goat Simulator instantly kicked off roughly a decade ago has gone on to bring its chaos and screams to multiple platforms. Enough so that even Fortnite features a character skin based on the Coffee Stain series. Back in 2022, the developer after years of seasoning behind the scenes launched Goat Simulator 3 for current hardware.

And with no certain direction understood for a new project, the only plausible approach to take is going backwards. Recently, it was discovered that Goat Simulator – the original game – is being adapted for Xbox Series X|S & PC. That is according to a rating for ‘Goat Simulator Remastered’ that went up on in Taiwan.

At the Gamescom Opening Night Live show, Coffee Stain unveiled Goat Simulator Remastered with a 2024 launch window for the title. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“Get ready to be transported back to 2014, where times were simpler and everyone just wanted to be a Goat. Goat Simulator Remastered is launching during the 10th anniversary of the original game, and we’re so excited to celebrate by bringing back the inspiration behind both Goat Simulator 2 and Goat Simulator 3, giving fans an opportunity to re-experience beloved goat-fueled memories with glorious new graphics and improvements,” producer Joel Rydholm said.

“The greatest simulation game known to man and goat returns, with familiar caprine chaos, upgraded graphics and lighting, many intentional features that definitely aren’t bugs, and fan-favourite DLC, all in one package! […] For Goat Simulator Remastered, mutators have been reworked, allowing players to choose whichever “goat” they desire to play as from a handy in-game menu. No more restarting the game to change how you look! Players will also enjoy new and improved visuals, updated textures, pretty new lighting, and some brand new foliage – just like no one asked for.”
