Sony and Santa Monica Studio announced that God of War Ragnarok will be coming to PC on September 19, 2024, and Until Dawn will be coming to the platform this Fall as well. What wasn’t included in the initial announcement was that it would require a PSN account to play these single-player games on Steam.
The God of War Ragnarok and Until Dawn Steam pages both have a notice telling customers that a PlayStation Network Account is required. It is also linked to the user agreement to understand the terms of service.

This is an interesting move by Sony as there are regions where PSN accounts are not live meaning parts of the world won’t be able to experience God of War Ragnarok on PC. Helldivers 2 was going to require a PSN account for PC players, but PlayStation reversed the decision after thousands of fans left negative reviews of the game on Steam based on the decision.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut was the most recent PlayStation game to make its way to PC. It also brought the PlayStation overlay to PC bringing Trophies, your friends list, and cross-play.
