This month will mark the one year anniversary since news of Google’s entry into gaming market which originally spawned back at E3 2018, according to Kotaku. The then-titled Project Yeti surfaced with the tech giant’s intent to introduce a new streaming platform to the market with plans to gain developers’ interest in backing the unannounced platform.
Then that coming Fall, the world was introduced to Project Stream which allow a select group of players to test out Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey through Google Chrome in 1080p resolution with 60 frames per second performance: this ultimately became what we now know as Stadia.
Google introduced the platform at GDC earlier this year pitching that fans will be able to play games on the upcoming Stadia service on any device that supports Google Chrome, that being your computer, phone, or even your television. Sharing that fans who watch their favorite YouTubers will have the option through Stadia to hop onto the same game as them directly through YouTube to launching the game seamlessly.
Closing the announcement presentation by revealing that more information will be detailed in the coming months in 2019. Now today, Google has revealed Stadia Connect, which will be the first of many Direct-like presentations which will showcase new information on the new platform.

Revealing that the debuting broadcast will be taking place this Thursday on June 6th at 9 AM PST / 12 PM EST. In the announcement, Google shares that things like the release date and pricing for Stadia will be revealed as well as detailing some of the games that will be exclusive to the streaming-centered platform.
Prior to the GDC reveal back in March, it was rumored that Sega could potentially be involved with Google in using Stadia as their main platform to advertise their upcoming titles. Meaning that the Japanese publisher could also bring first-party games to the forthcoming platform. But we will see if that is true with this Stadia Connect in the coming days.
What do you think about Google has under their sleeve for Stadia?
