Rockstar Games have been working on the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise for the last several years and we are about to hear news on it for the first time officially. Bloomberg has reported that Grand Theft Auto VI is being planned to be announced as early as this week from Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive.

Bloomberg also reports that a Grand Theft Auto VI trailer will also be published next month to celebrate Rockstar Games’ 25th Anniversary. This is according to sources close to Jason Schreier of Bloomberg. Grand Theft Auto VI is going to be set in Miami featuring a man and woman as the main protagonists as expected.

We have been anticipating news on the next GTA title because, in the recent Take-Two Interactive financial call, CEO Strauss Zelnick teased a release window for their next biggest game. Currently, Grand Theft Auto V is the second best-selling game of all time right behind Minecraft and with the sixth installment of the franchise on the way it could shatter even more records.
