Of course, one of the biggest conversations in gaming right now is the decision for Xbox to branch out its first-party titles to other platforms. In that, it was decided four games will make the jump. Howbeit, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer told it is up to the developers to make the announcement. Following reports pinpoint these games to be Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves.
So, when will these games be announced? Well, Spencer did elaborate that they will be disclosed sometime soon. However, the order for what platforms is still in the hands of the developers. What does help is that there is a Nintendo Partner Direct that is scheduled for Wednesday February 21st. So there is a likely chance that will come.
And rightly so! The first reveal of the online presentation announces that Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded will be arriving to Nintendo Switch in April later this spring. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“It’s time to get Grounded! A sprawling universe is yours to discover, filled with opportunities to explore, build, and survive in the backyard in this immersive cooperative survival-adventure game. Choose to venture alone or join forces with up to three friends online, with cross-platform play connecting players globally. Brace yourself for epic battles against hordes of giant insects, and navigate the backyard’s dangerous marvels.”
The description from the YouTube trailer continues: “Discover how you were shrunken down to the size of an ant, who did this to you, and uncover the tools you’ll need if you ever want to return home. This ultimate survival challenge begins this Spring on Nintendo Switch.” What has you most excited to see Grounded come to Nintendo Switch?
