For fans that might have remembered just the glimpse of what took place back at the Evolution Championship Series last year in 2019, developer Arc System Works briefly took the stage following the Tekken 7 World Championship finals to showcase the next installment for the Guilty Gear series. The new entry titled ‘Strive’, the trailer presented a new look for the fighting title which gained fan excitement already.

The trailer continued on by featuring prominent faces like Sol Badguy alongside Ki Kiske who fans should already be familiar with. One revolutionary addition very transparent from the trailer is that stage transitions will finally make its debut to the series which Guilty Gear followers grew envious when looking towards other titles of the genre.

“We have previously announced the release of Guilty Gear -Strive- for late 2020, however we have decided to change the release schedule to early 2021. While our company’s staff and our business partners are putting in a sincere effort in dealing with the changes due to COVID-19, every aspect of our development schedule has faced delays,” Arc System Works Producer Takeshi Yamanaka relays in the letterhead.

Furthermore, the team went on to disclose that more efforts involved in properly addressing the issues provoked through the recent closed beta for the game will be prioritized now that more time for development has been established. The studio goes on to ensure that the newest Guilty Gear installment will be a fresh experience that will surely agree with its fans.
