So just because Gameinformer unveiling Halo 5 as the cover story for the next Gameinformer for July 2015 which will give more information on the gameplay mechanics and the story. Also releasing new pictures of Team Osiris, Buck, Locke and The Blue Team. This was not enough!
It has been announced that Halo 5: Guardians will ship with 20 Multiplayer maps right off the bat making it the first Halo game to launch with 20 maps at the start (Excluding Halo: MCC) But that’s not all, 343 will be giving free DLC which will be 15 more maps in Halo 5: Guardians. All will launch by June 2016. This could well be 5 different map packs in under a year for Halo 5: Guardians but the way 343 will bring them out is yet to be announced. This makes sense since the recent problems Halo: The Master Chief Collection has had which brought the population down. This is a very smart move by Microsoft/ 343 Industries to bring the great Halo Community back to life.
Also we know one of the new maps that will be in Halo 5: Guardians which is called “FATHOM”
Fathom is located in a research center underwater.
BREAK DOWN:
Symmeterical Map.
Located in an underwater research center.
Red and Blue coloring for easy reference.
Ground Floor:
Central Point is a diving station.
Hydra spawns in this location.
Look out the windows to see “Space whales” and “Space eels”
Sight lines are fit for medium to long range weapons.
Metal boxes will prevent you from seeing as far as you could otherwise.
Shooting a Metal Box will cause it to lower for a few seconds, granting players a full sight line.
Submarine:
A docked submarine is featured on the map.
A shotgun spawns on top of the submarine.
If you fall into the water surrounding the submarine, you will die.
Outer Areas of the map:
Hallways toward the outer edges create choke points.
Hallways grant access to ramps that lead to the second floor.
Central Floor:
Sniper rifle spawns
This area offers a wide view of the map.
The wide open area leaves players vulnerable to attack from many different angles.
Also our friends at Podtacular states that “There’s going to be a completely new multiplayer experience shown off at E3, something we haven’t seen before.”
