Halo Championship Series Pro League launching May 31st, will also feature 250k prize pool.

After having a successful season with the Halo World Championships 343 had announced the Halo 5 Pro League at the finals. The Pro league will feature 14 of Halo’s biggest teams, eight in North America and six in Europe. It all begins May 31st and it will end July 28.
The league will feature a $25ok per-season prize pool. The finals will occur in LA in July. At the 2017 World Championship, the prize pool will be $1 million with potential crowdfunding to increase the pot like the previous one. ESL will broadcast the tournament three days a week, 2 in North American and 1 in Europe.
The qualifying begins this month at PAX East 2016 which is April 22nd-24th. Counter Logic Gaming (The Halo 5 world champions for 2016) have automatically been invited to the league. The PAX East tournament will include Evil Geniuses, OpTic Gaming, Enigma 6 and Team EnVyUs. 16 teams will be invited to an online qualifier on April 30, with the top eight moving on to a LAN qualifier on May 8. The top four of that tournament will earn spots.

For teams that don’t qualify, 343 and Xbox will allow the players to play in an open bracket. Those teams will earn points from events ran by different tournament organizers and have a chance to relegate the bottom two in each pro league.
