Although Halo Infinite is still a few weeks away from officially releasing, there was the off-chance that the multiplayer portion is arriving ahead of the promised release on December 8th. Already, we know the matchmaking is to be a free-to-play experience for all users across Xbox & PC to indulge in. But, the possibility of getting hands-on with that weeks before launch was not on everyone’s bingo card.

Howbeit, claims over this past weekend suggested that there will be that window and 343 Industries will certainly take it. During that, several instances of evidence suggesting such has surfaced leaving hope to get handsy with the online portion of the game. Additionally, stories emerged for an abundance of Xbox backwards compatibility titles being added as well around the same time.

During the Xbox Anniversary Celebration livestream, 343 Industries announced that the multiplayer beta for Halo Infinite is shipping on Monday. You can watch the season one launch trailer in the video below:

“Why is this release a beta? Our previous Multiplayer Technical Previews went a long way to battle-testing our services and infrastructure. But as we prepare for a significant increase in the number of players jumping into Halo Infinite on launch day, December 8th, we want to ensure all our systems are good-to-go,” Halo Infinite Head of CreativeJoseph Staten shares in the announcement post.

“While you may experience some bumps and bugs during this beta period, it does mark the official start of Halo Infinite Season 1, with all day-one maps and modes enabled as well as the full Season 1 Battle Pass. This means all the Battle Pass and customization items you earn or purchase during the beta will stay with you after December 8th.”

Additionally, the beta is promised to deliver a free event later on November 23rd, Fracture: Tenrai. For the time leading until one week after, players will have the opportunity to unlock the Yoroi (Samurai) armor core which has been showcase multiple times for Halo Infinite multiplayer previously.

Are you planning to hop into the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta?

Halo Infinite officially launches on December 8, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
