343 Industries has been doing everything they can to bring back the competitive Halo community. A few months ago, they announced that the prize pool for the Halo Championship Series was at 1 million dollars and would be funded by a percentage of the money spent on REQ Packs.

Today, they announced that due to the crowdfunding and success of REQ Packs, they are increasing the prize pull by half a million dollars, bringing the total to an outrages amount of $1,500,000! And if that wasn’t enough, they stated that the total continues to grow daily!

Qualification for the tournament starts in December and the grand finals begin in March of 2016.

With a prize pool as large as this, we can say with confidence that competitive Halo is back!
