When discerning one of Microsoft’s ambitions with the acquisition of Zenimax Media/Bethesda, it was a clear answer that the firm would use its available properties to fuel Xbox Game Pass. Upon the deal closing back in 2021, roughly two dozen titles were being prepared for the service then. Of course, that is only one list with more to be injected into the subscription library later on.
Back at QuakeCon last year, Bethesda officially introduced the original Quake trilogy (Quake, Quake II, Quake Arenas). So of course, when the firm announced its scheduling for QuakeCon this year, we could expect a similar announcement then. This upcoming show is said to be the last before the event heads back to in-person at Austin, Texas in 2023.
From Xbox Game Pass’ official Twitter account, there is a handful of games coming today to PC Game Pass. The list including The Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire, The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard, Quake 4, Wolfenstein 3D, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
Additionally, a new perk added has been added to PC Game Pass which unlocks all champions for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate owners in Quake Champions. Similarly, Microsoft announced a similar arrangement with Riot Games for League of Legends and Valorant which is said to arrive to members later on this fall.
As for other Xbox Game Pass announcements, Microsoft announced another title that is launching for the service later this spring. Wishfully Studios shared Planet of Lana embraces the new release window to utilize the extra time and reimburses patient fans with the launch for Xbox Game Pass day one.
