The studio behind 2K’s Mafia III has opened an expansion studio in Brighton England.
Along with the studios in Navato, CA, Czech Republic and Prague, this Brighton-based studio will have Split/Second director Nick Baynes as the studio’s general manager. Who will be building a “world class team” to tackle their upcoming unannounced game.
Stated by Hanger 13’s Global Studio Head Haden Blackman on this new studio expansion:

The new office allows us to tap into the rich game development talent pool throughout the United Kingdom and Europe and will lead to better, more diverse games that resonate with the widest possible audience

Following the news of Hanger 13 laying off employees, it’s quite a surprise to see the 2K internal developer is expanding a studio to the UK.
