In terms of the future for Mass Effect, the series is on a new campaign of projects entering the new decade. While a bevy of rumors and claims circulated for the past year, the indicated ‘Mass Effect trilogy’ is on the way. Now properly under the guise of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, the title is set to release this coming spring for returning fans or even new ones on all major platforms, of course.

Additionally, BioWare is also underway with a new entry altogether. Although plenty is still left unanswered, the developer closing out The Game Awards this past December finally announced a new project is underway. With roughly a decade since the last mainline entry, fans are surely awaiting to discover more on the next Mass Effect project. But, that does not look to be the end of it.

While Henry Cavill is still casted for Geralt of Rivia for Netflix’s The Witcher, he teases to be involved with a new production revolving around Mass Effect. Thanks to GamePressure, the publication used the image-altering program Focus Magic to unveil some more context to the cryptic photo uploaded on Instagram recently.

On the original image, the words ahead are not legible. But after being rendered with the software, GamePressure now reads the following: “Cerberus”, “Geth”, “Reaper”, and “Tali’Zorah”. Although some of the readings can be interlinked with virtually anything, Tali’Zorah is pinned unique to being the reoccurring Quarian in the main trilogy of games.

[The following decryption developed by GamePressue might be comprised of spoilers]:

“Following the events on Tuchanka and a failed coup by Cerberus to take over the Citadel, the quarians offer their support to the Alliance if Shepard helps them reclaim their homeworld, Rannoch, from the geth. Assisted by a quarian, either Tali’Zorah or Admiral Daro’Xen, Shepard boards a geth dreadnought and rescues a captive geth unit, either Legion or a facsimile occupied by a geth virtual intelligence (VI), then disables the Reaper control signal over the geth.”

Aside from the teased project that is still under wraps, Mass Effect looks to be going into full turbo drive as of late. In that, BioWare is officially pulling the Anthem Next project and moving all focus to the coming Mass Effect & Dragon Age titles. You can read the full report by heading here.
