After years of waiting, Hogwarts Legacy is out now for current-generation PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S. Ahead of the game’s release, the new IP found itself smashing sales records with the title overtaking the title as the most-streamed single-player title on Twitch. Not to mention concurrent player count overtaking Fallout 4 at the time. However, there was some bad news discovered shortly after the launch.

Speaking on the IGN Fanfest show, game director Alan Tew told that the game is currently in no position developing post-launch content. While it is unsure if that will suffice later on, fans are certainly hoping development does begin at some point. Additionally, the team is occupied with other versions of the game – Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch – is still on the way.

While Xbox & PlayStation are to arrive at the same time, Nintendo Switch is to ship later this summer. Howbeit, a recent update from Avalanche Software reveals the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are now pushed for a release coming in May 2023.

“We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the response to Hogwarts Legacy from fans around the globe. The team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience on all platforms and we need more time to do this,” the post on Twitter reads. Originally, Hogwarts Legacy was set to hit the platform on April 4th for the older Xbox & PlayStation consoles. Nintendo Switch is still expected to release its version on July 25th later on.

In recent news for more Hogwarts Legacy, word has it a HBO Max show is in discussion over at Warner Bros. From Giant Freaking Robot, the outlet claims sources internally found a new TV series is being pitched to become a premium experience on the streaming service.
