While PlayStation is taking the back seat for 2024, it is instead revisiting some of its legacy titles for newer hardware. Coming later this October, Supermassive Games’ Until Dawn is planned to release for PlayStation 5 & PC. The new version is rebuilt with Unreal Engine 5 offering a new, polished appearance to meet the standards of newer hardware.
Additionally, it has been rumored that Horizon Zero Dawn is also on the table too. Back in 2022, it was reported that the remaster is in development alongside a separate unannounced multiplayer project too. Corroborating the claim, a new rating for ‘Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered’ did go up in North America for ESRB recently.
From the PlayStation State of Play showcase, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is real and plans to release next month! You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
Guerrilla Games studio director Jan-Bart van Beek confirmed the game will receive a PlayStation 5 Pro update as well. “We’re also very happy to share that Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered comes with native support for PlayStation 5 Pro. This includes a range of graphical features that have been improved to make use of the power of the PS5 Pro, while also delivering ultra-high fidelity at blazing fast framerates.”
From the same showcase, another Horizon title is also coming this fall. During the livestream, it was revealed that Lego Horizon Adventures is to launch on November 14th for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can read the full report by heading here.
