While those that experience Fortnite in the growing hype for the game years prior did not expect the free-to-play battle royale to surmount to these elevations currently, developer/publisher Epic Games continues to bring the title to new limits in unexpected ways. Mainly through platform-breaking cross-overs. Already, we witnessed the addition of both Kratos and Master Chief – mascots for both Xbox & PlayStation – come to the game.

However, there are more video game licenses that are also crossing over into the battle royale as well. Shortly after entering 2021, Epic Games in collaboration with Capcom welcomed both Ryu and Chun-Li to the game as well with purchasable skins. However, the welcoming hand from Epic Games looks to be extending back to Sony Interactive Entertainment once again.

In a new announcement on Tuesday, Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy will be receiving a new skin and cosmetic bundle which is set to arrive this Thursday, April 15.

Though Blaze may not be a crafting resource on the Island, you can still use it for show via the Blaze Canister Back Bling. Also, glide into battle with the Glinthawk Glider and strike objects with the Aloy’s Spear Pickaxe. Using the Heart-rizon Emote, express yourself with the Focus effect, and inspired by the Shield-Weaver armor, adorn your weapons and vehicles with the Shield-Weaver Wrap.

But it does not end there, Epic Games also orchestrated a PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5-unique tournament to take place on Wednesday, April 14. In that, users in a three hour window will have the option to compete for the chance to receive the Aloy bundle for free in the ‘Aloy Cup’. There is even a bonus for those that eliminate opponents with a bow to exceed ahead as well.

There is also a cross-over mode with both Aloy & Lara Croft, Epic Games revels. “Players will automatically be outfitted as either Aloy or Lara in this Duos mode, with their teammate being outfitted as the other. At your disposal will only be the bow for Aloy and Dual Pistols for Lara — keep an eye out for wildlife and master your crafting skills to upgrade your weapons.” You can read more on the addition of the Tomb Raider by heading here.
