So far for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the main installment already received its own expansions back in 2017 with The Master Trials alongside Champions Ballad respectively. But it came to be a larger surprise learning that the story of the Nintendo Switch launch title will be receiving a prequel through the lens of a a Hyrule Warriors follow-up. As you might expect, the new game is also receiving its own post-launch add-ons as well.
Then, Nintendo unveiled that downloadable content similar to its predecessor will ship in two waves in regards to the major additions to the game later on. It was back in June that Wave 1 for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is to ship for the game which includes the Flail and Master Cycle to use.
In a new reveal at Thursday’s Nintendo Direct, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass is expecting Wave 2 next month. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“The second wave of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass content includes newly playable characters, additional stages, and emotional new story sequences,” the official website reads. “Defend Hyrule as the quirky duo character, Purah & Robbie, and their array of ancient technology, along with another playable character.
“Learn more about the Champions and the mysterious Guardian in emotional new story sequences as the fight for Hyrule’s future continues! See how places like the Coliseum and Lanayru Road looked 100 years in the past, along with other iconic locations in brand-new story stages.”
