Ubisoft Reportedly Canceled A Sequel To Immortals Fenyx Rising

Ubisoft has canceled the sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising according to a report from VGC. The mythological open-world adventure game released in 2020 and had expansions along the way. Sources close to VGC said that a follow-up game was in early development at Ubisoft Quebec, but Ubisoft decided to cancel it this month due to challenges around establishing the IP.

It isn’t a surprise when Ubisoft is canceling a game as of late since they’ve already canned three unannounced projects earlier in the year. One of those projects was PvP game, Project Q. They’ve also been struggling with the development of Skulls and Bones where it received yet another delay into late 2023 through early 2024.

Immortals Fenyx Rising was created by the same team that developed Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Some might say Immortals was better than Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. No other details regarding the cancellation was revealed.

.In other Ubisoft related news, Assassin’s Creed Mirage might not see post-launch content after it releases this Fall.
