For more than four years, players have continued to await new details on the new Indiana Jones title coming from the studio responsible for the Wolfenstein reboot. Developer MachineGames in 2020 was tasked with a new project to bring Indiana Jones to a new audience after more than a decade. Earlier this January, it was revealed to be titled ‘Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’ and to launch this fall.
What’s more, Microsoft was adamant on the game only launching to Xbox. In an interview with Phil Spencer on the future business approach for Xbox, both Starfield as well as the new Lucasfilms Games title would not be on other consoles. However, a report broke out this week indicating plans are to launch the game in 2025 for PlayStation 5 after all.
At Gamescom Opening Night Live, MachineGames & Bethesda announced that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will arrive this December. And as reported, it will also offer a PlayStation 5 release next year as well. You can watch the segment in the video below:
Of course, Microsoft also reveals new information in the pre-order options for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. In that, there will be a Premium Edition that offers a bundle of in-game cosmetics as well as three days early access to the full game. Not only that, there is also a Collector’s Edition which reveals post-launch DLC is planned for the base game – The Order of Giants.
“Indiana Jones & the Great Circle early access kicks off up to 3 days before launch (actual play time depends on purchase date and will be subject to possible outages and applicable time zone differences),” Bethesda reveals. Details on when the game comes to PlayStation 5 is left unanswered as of writing.
