Sunset Overdrive was a surprise to everyone. A very colorful open world game, with interesting gameplay, fun and hilarious dialogue, and also was the first time Insomniac Games worked on a project like this with Microsoft. So, of course, ended up being exclusive, which makes it a console seller.
The game had an interesting look and feel, though due to low sales numbers, the game hasn’t received a sequel, despite being praised by critics for the artstyle and gameplay. Fans of the game have asked both Microsoft and Insomniac Games for a sequel since its launch day back in 2014. Earlier today, a fan asked the studio for Sunset Overdrive 2 to which they replied, – “We’d love to, we just need to find a publisher”
we'd love to, we just need to find a publisher!

The key part here is “We just need to find a publisher”. Due to its poor sales number, it seems like Microsoft isn’t interested in investing and helping Insomniac making a sequel. Sony originally wanted to keep the IP so they’re presumably going to pass on this deal which leaves any other publisher to make this happen.
The question is, who will make it? Let us know down in the comments!
