Although Microsoft Flight Simulator is close to ticking towards its two-year anniversary later this summer, reflecting on the base release to the current state of the game is unfathomable. Already due to the striking visuals of the game, implementing this for major cities and nations simulated across the globe only increases the value of this game.
Back in February, the team over at Asobo Studio delivered a World Update dedicated to the continent of Australia at the time. But moving forward, the team stepped back into Europe with a separate title update later on. “The Microsoft Flight Simulator team has refined this area with the latest geospatial data available, including digital elevation modeling, aerial and satellite imagery, and triangulated irregular network (TIN) modeling of 20 cities, including Rome, Naples, Venice, and Milan.”
Previously this year, Microsoft Flight Simulator was enabled for xCloud. But, it does not stop there. Asobo Studio in a later announcement shared that keyboard & mouse support will also be coming to the game sometime later in the summer. You can read the full report by heading here.
