Sony has made one of those surprise announcements we were expecting at TGS this week. King of Fighters 14 was unveiled specifically for PlayStation 4. It will be in 3D similar to some previous titles in the franchise and will utilize the normal Japan first release before the U.S.
Due for release in January, Japanese PS4 users will get the chance to play a lot earlier as there is currently no timetable for a western release yet. The teaser trailer isn’t too long, but we do get to see about 25 seconds of gameplay. Now, it’s been nearly five and a half years since King of Fighters 13 was released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2010 so there is a huge area of improvement to be made. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more information comes out of TGS this week.
